old school rap is way better, it's easier to dance to and if their are kids around they can listen to it too, because it doesn't discuss killing or raping. the old stuff is much more cleaner.

no comparison today, songs have more meaning and a much better beat!! espically with all the sound effects that can be made today! but todays have a lot of volgar!! thats why i try and get clean versions!!
Technically it's the same thing. Old School rap started New School rap.If there was no Public Enemy, LL Cool J,Sugar Hill Gang,or Run DMC there would not be Soulja Boy,Kanye West,Bow Wow,and any other New School rapper.
