Although i see no reason as to why people would take it because personally it is one of my worst songs to date, Well anyway here it is.

And he goes out to his dead end job
and he comes back and goes out with the prettiest girl in town

I love it! Like you I also like writing song lyrics, I find it more fun than actual perfroming. Reading your lyrics I could definately feel and reflect on your emotions and I wanted to continue reading.
Overall I would say it is very good.
I would also agree than depressed songs are more interesting and worth listening to, rather than the same old upbeat stuff.

Since my profession is within the circle of lyrics, music, jingles, talks on radio, movies etc, I would place a suggestion in front of you: Never place any of your 'works' here publicly! You might get hurt by some idiotic answers which might lead you leaving your writing virtue or might make you frustrated. Of course I would request you to go on writing, composing or whatever the art-work you're involved with. You may show your works to close friends (could be here too) or to some experts. Anyway, as I respect the job of 'writing' (may be lyrics, poem, story), please don't get hurt after getting stupid answer or don't be frustrated after getting foolish reaction from others.
