It depends on what kind of Indie you're on about. There's the Britpop era, guitar band, singer/songwriter, etc.
There's a ton of good stuff out at the moment, like Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Killers, Ting Tings, I Was A Cub Scout, Hot Chip, and loads of others (start buying NME), so loads to get you started, but here are some of my personal faves, if you're interested:
