A few questions about getting a guitar?!

Question: 1) How much should I spend on my first guitar?

2) I've been playing for 3 months and I'm pretty good. How long do I need to play and how good do I need to be for me to get my own guitar?

3) How do i know when I'm good enough for my own guitar?

4) How much would a really nice sunburst fender strat cost?

1. your bank account and priorities will affect how much YOU should spend on your first guitar.
2. what've you been playing, acoustic or electric? you should learn acouitstic first. Be good on acoustic before you get an electric guitar. it will strengthen your fingers and make you better on electric by playing acoustic first.
3. if you enjoy playing then you need your own guitar, no matter how good you think you are or how good others think you are.
4. A nice sunburst fender strat can go 600 and up.
note that you can make any nice electric guitar work for you once you bond with it - it doesn't have to be made in USA, it just has to be technically functional, so a squier strat will work fine as will an epiphone if you want a gibson but don't have the dough. gibsons and fenders sound different by design and as you get better you may decide you have a need for one of each. better that than trying to get both sounds out of 1 axe, u won't like that. good luck!

1) As much as you want and can afford

2) You really need to do it religiously. Its very slow, but if you have a piece and you pratice for about half an hour a day atleast by 2 weeks you will know it very good. I know when I have a new piece to learn it sounds rubbish and you can never imagine how you would learn it but as time goes on and you work hard you can really hear progress

3) At any stage. Its nice to have a nice guitar to pratice that you like, even if your not so good you will get better, and you rock on a nice guitar you really like

Happy Playing

How can you say you play guitar when you don't own one ??
If you had a guitar you could practice the thing at home
don't by a Fender Strat as a 1st guitar it will cost a lot of money & then you need an amp that will cost money too.
look for a second hand acoustic guitar to start with.

1) More than you can afford - find a way anyhow.

2) K, even though you don't have a guitar, if you spent the time practicing that you're on here, you'd be even better. Skill has nothing to do with getting a guitar, money does.

3) Are you expecting the ghost of Hendrix to notify you? Your bank account tells you when you're ready.

4) Mexican-made, about $550 U.S. American-made, about $1000 U.S.
