Hey, a lot of us live in rural communities, small towns, and suburbs, where all music trends are at least 5 years late, if not more. Right now, we're hearing interesting things about this "Surf Music", whatever that is.

Emo is a stereotype. In case you haven't realized, stereotypes aren't actually alive, and thus, can't actually die.
Emo is short for emotional. It refers to a person who is highly emotional, usually in a dark or sad way, like gothic, only goths tend to have more of an angry streak. Emo isn't gone. So long as there is at least one person who still lives that lifestyle, it is still around, and nothing anyone can say can stop that happening, and i'll have you know, i know a lot of people who are emo.
p.s about your statement about 'moving on with your lives', maybe you should take your own advice and stop obsessing over something so small that doesn't affect you in any way.
there is no such thing as emo....so it could never die. there is emotional and emotion. and that means anyone who has ever had a emotion is emo. so stop calling and labeling people something that mostly everyone is. thanks much love <3
