Question: its instrumental...has violins sounds sort of melodic..i hear it a lot in some commercials on tv for malt shop memories i think...or some other oldies cd's...has no words..just instruments sounds sort of sad..would really like to know what its called...

The commercial was a good clue. It sounds like the "Theme from A Summer Place", which was a number one hit instrumental for Percy Faith in 1960.

This is pretty vague. I haven't heard a commercial that uses an instrumental from the 50' or 60's, except maybe "Love Is Blue" by Paul Mauriat from 1968.
