If you like Motorhead, I would also suggest early Metallica and early Megadeth. As for things like Nickelback, I would suggest Creed, Theory Of A Deadman, Thornley, Fuel, and Shinedown.

Edit: Good call by Medium Dave. AC/DC is a good band to get aquainted with, especially their "Back In Black" album.

Well Nickelback is more mainstream, but you're getting there, which is all that matters.

personally i think to truely love rock u should try really early rock first. like from the 50's. try chuck berry then work your way up to present time. i think the best work was done in the 50's and 70's

I would say try Megadeth (the Youthanasia album would be a good starter) and The Wildhearts are also a fantastic band, try Earth vs The Wildhearts for some songs with the Motorhead spirit :-)
