You decide. "Hardcore"?!

Question: Okay I've been hearing MCR fans(and bands similar) saying they are hardcore. Pfft. And as a whole "emo" kids saying their music is hardcore. I wont even start with Slipknot.
But here,
Choose between metal or emo, which is more "hardcore".

While I am not a fan of MCR, (actually I detest them and think they are very untalented) "labels" or genres of music are very subjective, just like stereotypes for people. Bury Your Dead seems much more "intense" for lack of a better word, than MCR, but others may disagree. (I certainly think MCR is awful) I'm not at all criticizing you, merely commenting that everyone will have a supremely different opinions, which can be quite interesting. But I guess you already know that judging by all the varied responses you received.

I have recently tried to let go of my tendency to judge others music, (and their labels of) because you'll just never be able to convince your friends that bands like Good Charlotte and MCR suck. Unfortunately.

I didn't really answer you question did I? Ok the first one is more hardcore. Most things beat MCR. (no matter what the song).

Totally ok to be pissed. A lot of music nowadays is not very good. It can make you really angry, can't it?

If you knew anything about music history, emo is a form of hardcore.. (emo coming from emocore coming from emotive hardcore)

although now-a-days, everybody and their mom think they are "emo".

I'll just leave it at that.

Edit: Unlike "Name______", I am not supporting emo, just naming technicalities.

Bury your Dead, this is not even a real competition

Bury Your F*cking Dead!

Definatelly Bury your dead is more "Hardcore"
But you chose one of the shittiest songs MCR has ever done, I mean I'm Not Okay is 50 times better than Famous Last Words.
And Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is definatelly more hard-hitting than The Black Parade.

Bury Your Dead.
No comparison.

Ummm...... NO! MCR is not even CLOSE to being hardcore! All the emo kids just THINK they are. (If you ask me, they sound like Three Days Grace, they're just wearing eyeliner.) Bury Your Dead is DEFINETLY more hardcore!

bury your dead

Bury You Dead for sure. They are incredible!

ummmm emo can sometimes be hardcore....like alesana they r screamo and emo music soo yeah. : /

Bury Your Dead by a mile. I didn't even click on the MCR link. All MCR fans do is worship that band like they are worshipping God. They are emotionally depressed teenagers who need a hero. That is why they are always saying that MCR saved their life and those people are who I would call true emos.

My Chemical ROmance isn't hardcore.. And no matter what you say, Black Parade is a good CD, the other 2 are a no. But you know... Black Parade actually has good rock sound to it.

I must rant myself though, seeing as I hate how people basically only consider the metalcore bands as hardcore. People who say Protest the Hero isn't hardcore or Fall of Troy. I'm pretty sure they are hardcore, no matter what you say.

Better example of hardcore though is Between the Buried and Me. ;O

Bury Your Dead hands down. New album out 3/18

You're getting a little worked up over nothing. They call themselves hardcore because it makes little 14 year old girls feel like they're badasses. Though they're wrong, why rain on their parade?

Bury your dead ! Mcr, lol.

That made me want to slap Gerald Way.

Wait... I ALWAYS want to slap Gerald Way.....

Course we all know if MCR was hardcore, monkeys would rule the world, but whats with the labeling that gets worse each time. Emo was a very respected type of music in the 60's, now its trashed up with all the scene kids (*cough* MCR). Yes, Scene has badly infiltrated many types of music.

no i already know mcrs not hardcore but they just scream in their old cds.
and there is no such thing as emo. its a made up word.
