Most new indie stuff is pretty good. Against Me! is awesome, old and new stuff. Definitely check them out. Also recommend Manchester Orchestra and Vampire Weekend. The "oldies-but-goodies" are great too, like Queens of the Stone Age, White Stripes, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead and Foo Fighters.
