i like 'the guess who' but they should not be on this list, they were kinda of pop band, allot of people back then equated them to the monkeys.

Definitely The Doors. They all have their own merits, but The Doors were innovative in ways unimagined by most bands.
I personally am a Door's FANATIC! but I'm actually going to have to go with Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant and Jimmy Paige... you don't get a better duo than that.
I love Jimi Hendrix too, but my favorite songs by him all happened to be originally written and/or recorded by bob dylan. Go figure.
