I love that song! I have listened carefully and I have my way of understanding what she feels and means and that is.............
she fell in love in a bad time in her life where she was very vulnerable and that no matter what you do you cant rewind time even if you tried.. all you can do is breath..
saying he doesn't care about his life and he hasn't been straight for a while but he has a lot of potential if he would just clear his head and she cant do anything about it or say anything to him so she will just write about it and hope it makes her feel better
constantly trying to write down what she means so its off of her mind even if it hurts the people she loves. Its her secrets that are supposed to be locked deep inside but can no longer be hid and people will understand them however they want to.
idk what your asking but the idea of the song is that her friend doesnt love her bf anymore when she thought she did.

i would suggest going to songmeangings.net and looking up that song. it's an absolutely gorgeous song and a lot of people know about it so i'm sure you'll be able to find what a lot of people think. some of them are really insightful.

the symbolism is strong as a memory but only if I could identify the questioner. If there is meaning in the lyrics could perspective be made so someone who is loving reluctantly gets the verification he is not wanted. There doesn't seem to be a passion faith hill captured in making this a couples bond from anyone here. But, I love that person who gave this tune to me.
