Answers: at last nights Brit Awards?

Yes he did. As long as he doesn't go down on one knee again, he deserves our respect...

yeah of course he did deserve it he is absolutly amazing

yes

Yeah i would say he did , i am not a big fan of his music but you have to give credit to him for his talent

I have never been a fan of Paul McCartney but he deserved
the award.

Yes, he's been on the music scene for a long time.....perhaps too long. And he needs cheering up anyway because of the divorce case going on

no but outstanding contribution to man for putting up with Heather Mills

Yes he is still around ,,when others have fallen by the wayside,,,,,

Absolutely. Especially considering he died back in 1967... oh, wait, wrong misbegotten theory.

um, yes....definitely!!

Yes For Sure...What a Gent and he has written some of the best songs ever...He has contributed to music in a massive way....he deserves all the accolades possible....Him and 3 others in his band changed the way of music so that it could evolve to what it is now..Take your hat off to him....

You tell me.

McCartney is listed in The Guinness Book Of Records[291] as the most successful musician and composer in popular music history,[292] with sales of 100 million singles and 60 gold discs.[293][294] McCartney has achieved twenty-nine number-one singles in the U.S., twenty of them with The Beatles, the rest with Wings and as a solo artist.[292] McCartney has been involved in more number-one singles in the United Kingdom than any other artist under a variety of credits, although Elvis Presley has achieved more as a solo artist. McCartney has achieved 24 number-ones in the U.K.: solo (1), Wings (1), with Stevie Wonder (1), Ferry Aid (1), Band Aid (1), Band Aid 20 (1) and The Beatles (17).[295] McCartney is the only artist to reach the U.K. number one as a soloist ("Pipes of Peace"), duo ("Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder), trio ("Mull of Kintyre", Wings), quartet ("She Loves You", The Beatles), quintet ("Get Back", The Beatles with Billy Preston) and sextet ("Let It Be" with Ferry Aid). McCartney's song "Yesterday" is the most covered song in history with more than 3,500 recorded versions[296] and has been played more than 7,000,000 times on American TV and radio, for which McCartney was given an award.[297] After its 1977 release the Wings single "Mull of Kintyre" became the highest-selling record in British chart history, and remained so until 1984.[74]

Definitely!
He knocks spots off the tat that passes for music nowadays, that was on last night.
His songs lately don't pass for genius anymore but they are still way above average.
His music has given joy to millions, especially his timeless compositions in the Beatles, along with some great Wings and solo songs too
So glad to have him still around in the talentless xfactor culture.
The Beatles were great ambassadors for this country, with talent unequalled and I'm proud that they came from my country.
He is one of the few celebrities I respect for his dignity and down to earthness and humility (considering all he has achieved).

McCartney must get so many royalties from the music being borrowed & released today that no wonder he was there.

of course he did...one of our greatest songwriters...stole the show last night and showed some of these other so called musicians a thing or two

yes I do as the guy has been around for years and really contributed plenty over the years, whereas todays popstars either dont make much of an impression to last the course or their music dosent impress for long, but this guy is aliving legend and thats what stands out.......long live Paul.

I have never liked his solo work (especially that travesty of a Christmas song he did) BUT he was in the Beatles who I must admit were amongst the best bands of their era and still are great today.
I would say that he deserved an award, however I personally think Ringo would deserve one equally so and it was sad that he did not get one.

No he's rubbish.

who?

nope.
i agree with heather
he looks a mean git

No, I think he got the sympathy vote. But then I would. I have never been a Beatle's fan, and certainly not one of his.
