Only 80's rock band or 80's in general like new waVE?

Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie Your Mother Down, Somebody to Love, Hammer to Fall, One Vision, It's a Kind of Magic

The Who: Baba O'Riley, Love Reign O'er Me, Won't Get Fooled Again, My Wife, Who are You

Take On Me: A-Ha

Anything aerosmith! Journey is also really good, Deep Purple is a personal favorite of mine there song Hush is amazing. Little River Band is a 70's band that kinda flew under the raidar but they rock. Lynyrd Skynard, Rush has the best drummer I have ever herd so they are a must have. The song Limelight they sing is really good. But I love 80's and 70's rock 2. :)

Led Zepplin is always good for the 70's
The Cure, The Clash, Elvis Costello , the Police..The Smiths...those are a few good 80's bands.

Journey's Don't Stop Believin'

The Who: Tommy, Behind Blue Eyes, Won't get fooled Again.

Elton John: Rocket Man

Billy Joel: Piano Man

Eric Clapton: Layla

Nearly all the punk rock songs in the 70's and also some of the Led Zepplin songs.

Look for some Skynnyrd live albums...

The live versions of Free Bird and Gimme 3 Steps are legendary !

Thumbs up for the mention of Nazereth....

Head East "Never Been any Reason"
Peter Frampton " Frampton comes alive album"
Badfinger "come and get it"

Led Zeppelin songs like "Stairway to Heaven" and "Kashmir" are must haves for sure.

If you don't already have them:

70s:
"Thunder Road" - Bruce Springsteen. I'm not a major Springsteen fan, but this song is a knock-your-socks-off classic.
"Lido Shuffle" - Boz Scaggs. I feels Scaggs is greatly underrated, but this is one of his songs that managed to sneak through all the disco and pop and make the top 40.
"We Just Disagree" - Dave Mason. Mason is widely unknown (despite this major hit and his stint as a member of Traffic), and that's a shame.

80s:
"Road to Nowhere" - Talking Heads. New wave polka, you just won't find that anywhere else.
"Modern Love" - David Bowie. Bowie keeps reinventing himself throughout his career, and this is a classic from his 80s era.
"The Boys of Summer" - Don Henley. One of Henley's most mesmerizing performances from any era of his career.

damn there is sooooooo many. i suggest anything from Motley Crue,Led Zeppelin, Queen, Alice Cooper,Black Sabbath, Ozzy OSbourne,AC/DC, Kiss,Aerosmith,Jimi Hendrix(thats 60's though),The Doors,Van Halen,Poison, Def Leppard,Skid Row, Deep Purple,Metallica(Enter Sandman),Quiet Riot,Ted Nugent,Sex Pistols,Rolling Stones,
THE LIST GOES ON if any more hits my mind ill come back and add them.
