He hasn't put out an album since 2006. He does still do some performing/touring.
I had heard on CMT that he had gotten married and has a daughter I believe. But like you I have not seen any new albums out for him.
He actually had severe depression for awhile and then started getting into gospel singing. He still assures fans he will be back.
