Do you listen to Styx at all? You would probably like a lot of there stuff. Also, check out the Hollies. On a separate note, there is a female solo artist named Sarah Jahn that is amazing. She's a Christian artist, but I don't think I would have picked up on that from her lyrics if no one had told me that. She's got a great sound. Her album is called "Sparkle," but it's not super glittery girly music.
