Answers: straight up... just blame somebody...

lol im gonna agree with puredelight, P. diddy did it he started the whole bling era, but im not gonna blame him only, the fans also ruined hip hop the ones that are supporting this gucci ish

It ruined itself.

it messed up itself
f u ck hip hop music its a primary source of all the crime in cities all over the u.s.

50 cent- in USA
Xis- In Brazil

when people started saying the same thing over and over. no one needs to know you "walk it out" 5 billion times.
hip hop back in the day actually had some talent. Wu tang clan is one of my favorites. back before they all they ever talked about was how much money they had and their fancy cars.

people who support bad stuff in buying they're lp, clothes, bling bling etc. and rapper who gone megalomaniac. women who seem to be happy in beeing nothing else then a cheap ****. and all the other women who want to be like them.
guys who act like they all were born in the bronx, white guys trying to be black. etc.

all that and more.

rap was ruined when people started rappin about stuff like how there supermanning that hoe and being so seductive and in there red monkey jeans and going to the candy shop

i dont think its ruined...i think that theres a new genre of hip hop. the dirty south movement if you have ever seen the movie rize. its about stripper dancing. its just a different style. if you want true hip hop you have to dig underneith the dirt.. underground. aceyalone. slug. immortal technique. jay z. nas. . all the mainstream. is not hip hop its bubble gum c-rap and its only really meant for the dance floor in my perspective.

Generation Y

Okay..if I HAVE to blame some1...Puff Daddy did it.

Shiny Suits, talkin bout bein a baller, clothes cars...thats all he rapped about. The rap crown was vacant after big and pac died so that left any clown with a chance to get rich and make music...it lost its love to commercialism....diddy is the epitome of rap commercialism...50 is catchin up though

either soulja boy or diddy

Record Companies want to make a product that will make a lot of profit. An artist wants to, or should want to make art. These are two things that will never completely go together. They have to come to some sort of compromise. Not all great artistic moves are great business moves. That is why some great albums never get the recognition they deserve.

I think the problem started when the artist completely forgot about art and started being on the same page with the record companies, a little too much. The groups today are all about safe easily marketed pop product, and it shows. You can see this very prevalent in country music and rock as well. There was a time when people had something real to say, instead of talking about how real they be. Don't worry, this has happened in rock before and other forms of music. Right now there are people just like you, making music there way. They are totally discusted by the state of the current stuff out there, and when it all hits it will be a new wave of music that will knock the current music scene on its ***. Just like punk rock in the 70's, thrash metal in the early 80's or alternative grunge rock in the 90's. I can't wait for the next breed of artist that are intersted in shaking things up, not coming out with there clothing line or new pepsi comercial.

the ppl who bought the type of rappers

I think that too many people are overcome by nostalgia for Tupac and Biggie. Some current rap is considerably good but of course there are Soulja Boys and 50s. The people ruined hip-hop! Those idiots who call in the radio station to ask for Crank That, buying the crappy album, downloading it, talking about it, playing it. Admit people, you listened to Solja when he was popular. Sense of rap changes and its not the artists who did it, if it was so bad, don't buy it and instead buy the songs of real rappers. But its the people who ruined hip-hop.

Ever since crunk rappers came out with stuff.

50 Cent

It started out ruined. It has only gotten worse.

There was nothing to ruin...it started out garbage and only got worse
