No comparison really Led Zeppelin has been around since the late 60s if you count the Yardbirds. Sold millions more albums and if the concert in London has proved anything, no loss of steam. Metallica still a super metal band. Motley different era also but more so. Actually two different kinds of music. I like Motley and still have many fans. It will be interesting to see if Korn has the lasting power of Led and Crue. Ozzy hands down, he help start the real heavy stuff, even more heavy then Zeppelin.
I dont like Poison, personal preference. Chem. Rom. not bad but are they a flash in the pan? Only time will tell.
Alice in chains is not bad. System, dont know them that much.
Judas Priest has been around since the early 70s and have a huge following. Zombie is good but not as successful as Priest. Judas has an actual chance of making it in the Rock Hall, thats if they stop inducting Rap and disco. Zombie, I doubt very much. Sabbath, see OZZY, Comon?!! Maiden is good but no Sabbath, not even in the same ballpark.
Nine, saw Megadeth but nothing stands out from them. Been around long while. Warrent, another 80s metal booze band.
Fall out boy is popular now but for how long. I try to keep an open mind but you must admit, in the last ten years or more,
Bands in rock have had no real staying power. Hence, the rise of Rap. Which tells everyone the real pathetic state of music these days. How about these record companies going out and discover some real metal and rock bands. They are out their I know!! They are the sons of the music I grew up on.
