Likeya style mate,keep it up.
We don`t even have a country music station in Nz no more!!!!
The broadcasters gotta be a sick bunch, huh???
I listen to KWKZ Cape Girardeau MO Over the net on Vtuner live internet broadcasting.Crakka station mate.
They do play some new stuff ,some of it classic style but i think they cater mostlly for REAL COUNTRY MUSIC LOVERS.Bluegrass Wednesday nights.I think KWKZ is owned or partly by THE Bill Anderson.I`ll be corrected if I`m wrong 4sure.

U av a good`n ,keep on country`n

wgna 107.7 in albany new york does during there lunch hour also they do a classic country show before the top 40 count down every sunday morning

We have two one plays all new music and the other one plays both new and older music.

I live in a really small town, there are only like 3 stations that are clear here. It kinda sucks cuz they really do just play the modern stuff. I always look forward to goin home to listen to good radio. I know exactly when I can switch over to those stations once I get almost out of the canyon :)

not they dont and that realy sucks. i much prefer the old country to the new. i like some new especialy josh turner and brad paisley, but good old merele haggard and george jones and conway, still the best stuff to me and no one plays it on the air. have to download it or buy cd.
if anyone in the charlotte NC area knows of a station that does play the good old stuff, please let me know !

yes, they play classic.

Yes lil but not really we hear lot great classic George Strait and they play lil classic on Sat mornings kj97 y100

They mainly play classic country on Sunday nights.

up here near tyler,longview,jacksonville--there's one, it's
104.1 the Ranch....that's all they play, the oldies...some of the other stations in the area do play some of the older stuff but not very much of it....the ranch is the only one i bother to listen to now since the other stations really only play ts and cu--people like that....and cowboy troy, and big and rich-----arrggg!!!! go ahead and just send me to the slaughter house please!!!

No, the only country station in this area is modern. I have to resort to internet or satellite radio to get anything desent.

I appreciate you defining what you think classic is. I've read questions where the asker says "classic" and then the song winds up being six years old, or "old" and the song is three years old. I guess when you are 18, anything that isn't in the top ten is old.

yeah down here in florida on i believe sunday nights they play classic country and i mean .. wicked old country music.

Where I live there are at least 12 stations within pickup range and sadly none of them play the classic country music at all. They only play the pop sounding stuff they are calling country music. I have spoken to a couple of the program directors and have been told that is the formats sent down from the head offices and that is what they have to play.

We have a station in north Florida here that on Saturday mornings, the DJ has a "radio swap shop" where you can buy, sell, or trade stuff over the airwaves, and play the "game"
where he will play a song and you name the artist,
The down side of that is the program only lasts 4 hours, then it goes back to the T.S.,C.U.,R.F. stuff all over again

Ours does and it's great. A little more Charlie Daniels is okay with me! :-)

We have several in the DFW area that play traditional tunes.
1190 am - lonestar 1190
92.1 ktfw the dj on sunday afternoons is awesome, he plays 50's,60's and some 70's
95.3 khyi they play Texas country and some traditional mixed in and the same guy that owns that stations another one in greenville it is 92.1 and they play traditional.

And then we got the pop country 4 or 5 but i don't listen to them

the only time i hear it is if someone calls in to request it, and there is a radio station that plays the classics on saturday night, on a program called "the time machine"

They dont really play it, its just a syndicated show, Retro Country USA that is on late on sundays aka when no one wants to work. So I'll say that we dont play it.

104.5 wsld out here in southern Wi plays classics on Sunday morning. It plays for like 4-5hrs after the top 40.
Other than that it's rare to hear.

No Tex, I live in New Zealand , It`s been at least 20 years since we had a decent country station, that played classic country..Wev`e got one good station plays older stuff,50s-60s-70s ,but not much of it is country.
All we get here is Talk Back stations with people ringing in bitching about one thing or another, one good thing is we don`t get the new crap ,that they call country these days ,either. It doesn`t worry me , I download hundreds of good songs that I want, off Limewire

97.1 Conroe Texas

We have a station that does play some classic stuff. Nothing that's really all that to get excited about. It's mostly KC, RF, TS, CU, KP, and such. But every now and then we'll hear older stuff. It's a bummer that our other station sold out to a modern country station. Imagine that. They got rid of the classic to please a younger crowd.

It is a pretty good mixture from Ernest Tubb to about 1985. Hey Tex try this web site,go on Google, type in live365.com,then click country icon, then scroll all the way to the bottom and click on classic country, and you will be very surprised at what you hear. Its a station 24/7 thats all classic, and get this, they are out of St. Johns Newfoundland.Great classic stuff.

K 95.5 in Columbus, Ohio plays a mixture of classic and currant country. One of their taglines is '5 decades of country'. I would prefer they DIDN'T play Carrie Underwood, Big and Rich, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, or anyone who has shown up on the music scene since 1995.

On Sat. and Sun. the country station I listen to plays classic country music.

No, ours doesn't; not on a regular basis, On occasion we may get some early Alabama and some popular singles off a few artists debut albums from around '85, but it is few and far between.

95.5 WFMS plays classic country from 9-12pm on Saturday nights. The show is called "Saturday Night Gold".

97.1 HANK FM plays a mix of classic and modern, but mostly classic. They "Play anything country."

The other three stations play mostly modern, but sometimes there's a classic that someone's requested.
