Which band did you think had the best performance at the Live Aid concerts in 19!

Question: I myself thought Queen were the best

Answers: I myself thought Queen were the best

Sure, that's an easy answer, but the reason they were the best is the most interesting point. Here was a band that had played for millions of people for well over a 12 or 13 year at the time, yet they made up their minds that they would not settle for just getting up there and doing a couple of tunes from their vast repertoire and just make an "Appearance" as a lot of the bands did. They set up camp in a rehearsal studio for weeks before and hammered out a blistering set which boiled down the essence of Queen. Then they rehearsed until their fingers bled. When the world stage's spotlight hit them, they surprised the legions of critics who had never seen them live -- those same critics who had branded them as just a "Studio" band. The rest of us knew, having seen them live up close and personal over the years and were not that surprised, just proud of the performance. However, the rest of the world figured it all out that hot summer day in 1985. THAT is the story of why Queen undoubtedly had the best performance at Live Aid 1985.
