I agree with the first person...its about those last moments before saying goodbye when he goes on the road. There was another question about this same song looking for the definition. Someone read too much into and said ti was about depression and codependancy! I think people forget that sometimes song lyrics are very literal and autobiographical. Plus, its not codependent when you say that the time apart makes the connection stronger....
I think its a love song.About how its hard to be away from eachother when he is on the road touring and all that.Also how he hopes she will still be waiting when he comes back.
