What are the differences in sound and appearance between a fender strat and a sq!


Question: a squire is a pice os sh**
try this: hold a squire in one hand and a mexican made in the other hand and feel the difference in the weight ! the squire is hollow and has styrofoam inside. the other is solid.
the hardware on the squire like tuners,jack and plate,fret wire and bridge are cheap! thts why they are 100.00 compared to a mexican of the same model that will be like 400. and again an american, over a thousand ! remember. you get what you pay for in guitars just like in any other commodity

A squire strat is essentially a lower level fender strat. The Fender has better equipment and it's produced with higher grade materials. The Fender of course sounds better. The Squire is usually a beginner guitar. Sounds ok but not like the Fender. As for appearance, they look the same maybe except for a few differences here and there.

I think the Fender has a richer sound and more depth of notes.

No real difference in appearance.

The Fender version is made with better materials, electronics and hardware. Better craftsmanship and no errors in production. This all culminates in a better quality, better sounding and longer lasting instrument.
