Oh my goodness, I love those days. I was born in '68 but my parents played them all the time. My favorite was The Beatles and The Beach Boys, Paul Revere and the Raiders, CCR and many many more. Thanks you for posting this, I thought I was an old timer in here..lol :)

i'm only 17, but i love the beatles, louis armstrong, and the ramones (i think they may be 70's).

I love those songs (especially the Motown stuff) and I was born in 1971;)

I love " Will you love me tomorrow?"
Minnie Driver sings it in the movie "Beautiful"

Runaway by Del Shannon
Tossin and Turnin by Bobby Lewis
Chantilly Lace by The Big Bopper
Donna by Ritchie Valens
Peggy Sue by Buddy Holly
Yakety Yak by The Coasters
Mother In Law by Ernie K-Doe
Lollipop by The Chordettes
Rockin' Robin by Bobby Day

many more.....I'm 33, but I grew up listening to those classics ;)

60's Girl Group Songs

Leader of the Pack, Remember (Walkin' in the Sand) -- Shangri La's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy8_38U3x...
Too Many Fish in the Sea -- Marvelettes
Chapel of Love -- Dixie Cups http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7k_1Irpc...
Be My Baby -- Ronettes

PS Some kids are confused -- this 1963 -- 1965. Before Prog Rock, CSN, and Hippies and San Francisco, way before punk and the Ramones

Although I remember the Shirelles' version, I actually like Carole King's version better...did you know that she wrote that song? Also "Up On The Roof," although I can't remember who did the original version of that.
I mostly like the old prog-rock from that period, like the Moody Blues, although the San Francisco bands (Jefferson Airplane, Crosby Stills and Nash) are great to listen to as well.
(Psst...they sound great even -without- using drugs!)

The 60s was another era to today,no internet,no cds,no high fashion. The music was better than today, the groups could play their instruments and sing.
Carole King originally wrote that song for the Shirelles, which was a hit and later recorded it herself for her Tapestry album in 1970,which was phenomenally received around the world.
Sixties music i recall was nostalgic,in the moment attitudes exemplifying an array of different opinions from each artist.
I also think that the 60s music was special coz there was so much going on at the time,Cold War -East Vs west,Vietnam,
social change for Afro -Americans,womens lib etc....
You"ll find that there was a song to exemplify every year eg.
Hippy movement - McKenzies' flowers in their hair
Acid era Doors,Jefferson aeroplane,hendrix - White Rabbit,
Light my fire,Purple haze
Social conscoiusness - Bob Dylan -The Times they are a changing,Don Mclean - American Pie

I'm only 23, but I still like that song. My parents listened to a lot of that kind of music when I was growing up, still do in fact, and I quite enjoy it. I also like, off the top of my head, That'll Be the Day and Peggy Sue by Buddy Holly, Love Potion No. 9, Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay, The Sounds of Silence, Daydream Believer, I Can See Clearly Now, Traveling Man, Turn Turn Turn, California Dreamin', It's My Party, Save the Last Dance For Me, and God Only Knows, among many others.

woa the 60s? Are you like 100 years old?

lol naw jk.

I'm only 13 so I don't know what era all these bands came out in but I like The Monkees, The Who, Queen, the Beatles, and some others. You know, just the famous ones that everyone knows about.

edit: Oh yeah, my grandpa has every single Beach Boys album ever made. wow.
