I don't like my recorded voice it sounds weird why and can i do something ab!
Question: Ok so i sing good and i liek my voice but when im recording my voice or on a video camera I hate my voice. why is that?

The reason we never like the way we sound on tape is that we have these great resonating chambers inside our skulls, so our voices seem richer and fuller to us. Then when we hear a tape, that structure isn't there. But what we're hearing is what the rest of the world hears when we talk or sing, and it sounds perfectly normal to them. Let someone hear whatever it is you've recorded and tell you if it sounds normal to them. If it does, go ahead and post the video. It won't sound strange to anyone but you.
I know what you mean. My voice is horrible on tape. My friends say my voice is fine normally, so maybe it is just the recording...

what i do is go into a sound proof room and record.
don't worry honey, the same thing happens to me all the time!! i always video tape myself singing and i think i sound good, but when i listen back to myself on the video, i think i sound horrible. i'm not sure if there is anything u can do about it, but other pple will most likely here your voice differently then u hear it when it's recorded!!

Your voice always sounds different when you hear it played back to you. It has to do with the resonance in your own head. you hear not only your voice, but the resonating of it in your own head. Everyone else only hears your voice.
Ok so ur voice sounds different to u then other people! my voice teacher records my voice lessons and i think i sound soo weird.. but i think its just me..

download, goldwave, its a program that allows you to record yourself singing on to pc and it has settings that you can tweak to make you sound better. as long as you can carry a tune, lots of ppl can 'sing along' to a cd, but can't sing
