How to sing and play guitar at the same time?!

Like everyone has said, it's all about practice.
When I first decided to learn this, I started playing Ramones songs. Very simple 3-4 power chord songs with an easy melody to sing. Once I felt I had mastered Ramones songs, I moved on to Green Day, then to Weezer. When it came time to tackle open chords, I started doing Barenaked Ladies songs.
It'll take awhile, but don't give up and all that.
You just gotta practice man, slow down the tempo if you can't do it just yet.
Make sure you know the guitar part really well without singing - practice it A LOT. As in, you can do it without looking down at your guitar too much. This way, when you play, you only have to concentrate on your singing as the guitar part will be second nature to you. Then practice singing and guitar really slow for a few times, then see if you can do it regular speed. If you can't sing and play at slow speed you need more work - you won't be able to play it regular speed if you can't perfect it slow speed. Don't give up - all the singers of famous bands have to go through this too, every time they learn a new song. Good luck!
It's a developmental process. It take repetition in order for your muscle memory to be ingrained within your body and mind.
It also take synchronization, much like what drummers develop.
