Song I heard on KROQ in the late 80s?!

Question: I was recording a late night program while out of the room and captured a song I never heard again and find no reference to. The song was announced as "A Song About Marcy" by Pink Indians. It was very moody and seductively sad - lots of Smiths-eque songs were on the same set. There's a repetition of "What I wouldn't give to feel your presence here' and to this day, I find it so beautiful. All I have is the worn out cassette I recorded on. It's not by FLUX OF Pink Indians as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
