Who else thinks Rock and Pop should have seperate catagories?!
Question: It's so gay. Gaawd all the other genres have their own catagorey. It's irritating when we get a Hannah Montanna question shoved down our throats.

Us R&P Regulars have been trying to get this done for quite awhile now. Glad to see some new blood taking an interest.
The regulars tried this a while back. Didn't work unfortunately. Stupid Yahoo.
yeah i know rock and pop are so far away rock is heavier hannah montana is like so far away from rock they should diffently be seperate

i do i do. You would think of a rock band playing instuments and a pop band singing. You don't see Beoncye or whatever her name is spelled, playing a guitar.
Good idea. Pop should have a different section. I hate rock.
In addition to separate categories, I'd like to see REAL questions instead of "Who should I listen to ?" "Good rock songs ?" - they're almost as bad as the "Do I look pretty ?" questions.
I think Rock & Pop should stay together.
Metal should have it's own catagory
I agreed when I posted my comment on that suggestions page ages ago - but I no longer think that we should be separated.
I have two reasons, one of which is very trivial.
1. There really aren't that many Pop questions asked here. You may think separating the sections will make the FOB fans disappear but it won't. That [awful] band are /technically/ Rock - even if they weren't, their fans would still think they were.
2. The people of this section would no longer be "R&Pers". I know it is trivial, but "Rers" doesn't have the same ring to it.
edit; I disagree with the person above me. Metal is a type of Rock. If you want to give it its own section then every other subgenre should have one too.
