To the people who followed grundge..I could see him being a legend..but to anyone else..he was just a singer who couldn't handle the fame...

I dont' know what people care about more, his music or his death. Idk....I feel what he did was something the world had never experienced, like the most high profile suicide because of the way he did it and what his life had to offer. I can't answer that. He was talented but most people dont' focus on that.
He's not a legend or at least I don't think of him as being one. Killing yourself or dying of drug overdose is something a legend would do.
He did make some good music though.
Not for his singing,but for the type of music he introduced to the rock world...that is legendary,but most forget he was in a band(nirvana)and I don't think thats fair to the rest of the musicians.. ..so for the most part in my opinion Nirvana made legendary music for their time.
He wasn't a particularly good guitarist or singer but he was a good songwriter.

Yes, honestly it probrably helped that he died how he did, it made him more famous (it's still sad) also he defined a new genre and that generation.
