What should a beginner get for a bass guitar?!
Question: I'm wondering if a beginner should get a really cheap Dean or if they should buy a bass package, or if I should just buy all of the accesories and bits seperate?

It depends on how serious you are about playing bass. If you are then ask at the guitar shop and there will be someone who can help you (thats what i did and they were a great help) The accessories part - err i'm not sure, i reccomend an amp and maybe a capo and plectrums (obviously) but i think you should wait and see how much you love playing it before you buy EVERYTHING.
pawn shop is the best bet, if you like it, you can get a good starter package, if not, then the 100 bucks was worth a shot
well i think you should get a bass pack. a good bass pack is the 'behringer bass guitar and amp package' . it comes with a bass guitar, a 15-watt amp, a high-quality instrument cable, an adjustable strap, 3 picks, and a gig bag. The package is about $300 AUD (australian dollars)
or you can buy a cheap bass and amp from ebay or a second hand shop. picks are like 50 cents each (or under). and you can get a lead and a strap from any music shop for a low price.
you can also get bass packs cheap on ebay. but i don't know how good the quality of those bases are. just look around online and you'll find one you want for a good price
