Some people find it easier to just play the highest four strings on the F shape. Index finger barres the highest two, middle on 2 fret, ring on third fret.
Sometimes the A chord works as an alternate. It shares two notes, as does the D7.

Edit: Pinky on third fret, 2nd string.
It is still a hard chord. I go ahead and use the full barre. If you're gonna learn one that's hard and not quite right, just go ahead and do the real one.
