From an avid Beatles fan, the song was definitely "A Day in the Life" - just so happens to be my fave Beatles song. The song is on the Sgt Pepper album

I think it was a Day in the Life...that was the one were they danced and stuff and that girl was hanging from the wall!
it was indeed a day in the life. It was from the movie "Across the Universe." thats the confusion. Cirque de sole preformed it.
"A Day In The Life" - last track on the Sgt. Pepper album. The song included a reference to Paul's so called death: "He blew his mind out in a car....." one of many "clues". A little trivia tidbit: The Sgt. Pepper album was the first album ever produced by a band that included the album's lyrics.
