Any way to stop ears from ringing after a concert?!

Question: I just got back from the Sonata Arctica concert (amazing metal band!!) and they were great but I had to take my earplugs out partway through the concert because I couldn't hear the singer.

Is there any way to help my ears stop ringing, or do I just have to deal with it for a while?

I agree with the first answer.
HOWEVER, I'm feeling particularly generous and will offer some advice anyway.

Try what's referred to on planes as a Mickey Mouse.
Take some cotton balls, and soak 'em in hot water. Squeeze them out a bit, and then kind of pack them into the bottoms of 2 separate cups, preferably plastic. Place the cups over your ears, and just chill out for a few minutes.

Errrr....

WHO THE HELL WEARS EAR PLUGS TO A CONCERT?

You are defeating the whole purpose of a concert.

Suffer the pain as its karma, yeah.

Nope...let the memories continue!!!

If you are going to a loud music concert, it is a good idea to buy those little soft plastic ear plugs, and put them in your ears while you are at the concert.
The loud music is doing permanent damage to your hearing.
When youre very young you dont think of this but it is true.
I carry a pair always in my purse - they are so cheap but do a great job of protecting your ears, while you still enjoy the concert.

just time

In your situation, the damage has been done to your ears. No over the counter remedy medicines you can buy. This early stage, you have to see your Family Medicine physician and be referred to very good ear medical specialist (Eyes-Ears-Nose&Throat) or an Otorhinolaryngologist. They are the best to give you the answer. These organs are very sensitive and complex. The Eyes-Ears-Nose and Throat orgarns are very much interrelated to each other's function. that is why you see persons who are deaf and at the same time dumb. Or some talk in shouting voice levels because they do not hear well at normal levels.
Our ears are only capable to handle 50 decibels and more than that, you would be pushing to the limit the stirrups pounding your eardrums.
Your ear doctor will prescribe you the right otic medicine to your case and may suggest some therapy to that. Besides you might not be aware that you might be suffering too from other causes that aggravates your situation.
Take good care of your ears, they are preciously yours (not your next door neighbor's) and for your own beneficial usage. These important organs do not function simple tasks like your fingernails where when you damage it unintentionally or not, it will grow back. Nota bene: your earwax is your natural ear protector from microscopic insects to fungus.

Forget the noisy pop/rock concerts and go for a classical music concert instead! Much more ear-pleasant!!!
