Singing voice?!

Question: I've been practicing "The voice within" for a few hours now, because I have to sing it tomorrow and I want to get it close to perfect. My throat is starting to feel funny, and every time I sing, it sounds really bad. is there any way you can "over sing'. is this a sign I might lose my voice tomorrow?

You could possible be hoarse tomorrow, you will get your voice back but it will take a couple of days. Yes, you can "over sing", and that is possible because most people that havent been professionally trained will sing from their throat. This means you are relying heavily on your throat to make all of the necessary movements that your entire body is supposed to do. You should feel "physically" exhausted everywhere after singing. I suggest when you breathe to breathe from your diaphragm. You can practice this by lying on the floor and placing a book on your stomach, you should try to get the book to move as much as possible when you breathe, this means you arent using your shoulders when you breathe. Might wanna give it a rest for a while until your throat can regain its strenght, if you ever have any musical questions let me know!!

yes,get cough drops, and mix honey with lemon and eat it.
My friend did that cause she started like that

I second the first answer, and drink tea with honey and lemon.

Drink a hot tea preferably lemon and add some honey, Rest your voice if have practice a lot, and drink plenty of Water at least 64oz. feel confident, take control of you mind.

Yes, this may be a sign you are loosing your voice, so drink some hot tea with lemon and honey, and rest your voice for a couple of hours. drink a lot of water before you perform, and don't over do your voice by singing too much, as it can realy damage your vocals. Try listening to the song a couple of times while you rest, to make sure you remember it well by tomorrow, and work on your lyrics. If your voice still hurts tomorrow, do some vocal exercises to warm it up before you perform and maybe even take some cough medicin to sooth your throat. The most important thing is not to over do it y practicing. Good luck, and I hope this was helpful!
