Question: Okay. I hope this isn't confusing. I'm trying to find some songs that have someone singing in them, but also have some violins in the background. Just very emotional, beautiful songs. I am not sure what genre I could find this type of music. Could you give me some songs that have violins, or are very powerful?

Try some Josh Groban, like 'You Raise Me Up'....btw, the URL for your link didn't work...
Enya is also very good.....alot of new age and easy listening artists have violins and such in their songs.
the video is not playing however if you are looking for some relaxing indie music with violins try volcano by damien rice...most of his music has violin or ciello.......hope this helps.......
