Beyonce introduced Tina Turner as "The Queen", not "The Queen of Soul". Everybody knows Aretha was, is, and always will be "The Queen of Soul". Tina was (in the 60s) often referred to as "The Queen of Rock N' Roll", so technically, Beyonce was correct. I certainly don't think either Beyonce or Tina intended any disrespect to Aretha.
i didn't know either of them is a queen, i know of latifah though.

Beyonce didn't make the statement. The grammy commission made the statement and Beyonce only read what they wrote for her to say. If she wants to be mad at anyone It should be "B" it should be whoever writes for the grammys
I don't think it was her or anyone else's intentions to disrespect Aretha. She just took it out of context. Their or a lot of so called "Queens" out there. Beyonce didn't even specify the genre of music. People take things and blow it way out of this world.

Yeah, this is kinda crazy that Aretha reacted like that... I think there must be a little 'friction' between Aretha and Tina. I don't think the statement that was released even mentioned Tina and just the fact that she got mad because another obvious LEGEND is being called a 'queen' says there's got to be some tension.
This had NOTHING to do with Beyonce... more about Aretha's ego than anything.
