What band would you die for?!
Question: my friend asked me this: and she was like would actually die for MCR... and i started thinking. i really love them and all but i don't think i would. one day the band will come to an end cus all bands come to an end, all good things come to an end. i would be really upset about it but i'll still get through life. i don't think i could die for any band. not even MCR. (gasp!)

I couldn't die for a band. Not because I think my life is too special to waste on a band [it's not], but because I don't see why I should. They don't give a toss about me as an individual.

Within Temptation. They are the soundtrack to my life! I ADORE them. Within Temptation are my absolute heroes.
Nightwish, Evanescence & Lacuna Coil. These bands I like, I wouldn't die for them, I'd just miss them. Terribly.

Although there are many bands of which I think highly of (talent wise), I would never give my life for them. After all, at the end of the day they are still complete strangers regardless of how much I enjoy their records.

i wouldn't die for them though. the people in those bands really inspire me and their music helps me a lot. and i would love to meet them, like, it's my dream. but i think dying is a little overboard.

Lostprophets are a band I love so much. Their music means so much to me. There will be a time when they will break up and be no more. Hopefully, not for a good ole while but still. Look at Blink 182 <sob>. Bands come and go as much as anyone hates it. They have a life too. I will be very upset when they do break up but I won't go that far. Music will always be around no matter what.
Tell your friend to get some psychological help. It is crazy to even think something like that.
Of course nobody and much less a band is worth dying for. They are performers and musicians... she lived before they existed as a band and she will after they are long gone. There must be a serious differentiation between what it means to be a fan and real life.
