"Emo music" is everywhere. After all, it's just emotional music. You can find that in any genre you could possibly think of.

yeah that sucks. nowadays a lot of bands get thrown under the emo category and they really shouldn't be there. And a lot of people don't actually know the meaning of the music they're listening to :\
lol a bit of a rant xD but i don't consider any band or type of music 'emo' i just see it as rock and that's it, i used to be scarily obsessed with mcr and everyone said they were emo but i just see it as music and that's that it doesn't need anymore labels

isnt all music really emo music they pretty much are singing about the same thing just in different music, im so tired of hearing the word emo, hell that would mean all country music is emo..
and being a fan of the cure when my son told me its emo i said no its not its alternative, who was the idiot that thought of calling music emo just because they sing about relationships etc... thats all music except for maybe rap which is talking (not singing) about something all together
