Chuck Wick-Stealing Cinderella

a fast paced song could also be Carrie Underwood-American Girl

Freddy Fender..I'll be there, before the last teardrop falls. It is a beautiful song. My Daddy sang it to me before I moved to California. When I hear it, it makes me smile.

Anne Murray had a song about Could I have this dance for the rest of my life? I really don't think though that it had anything to do with a father/daughter though.

Tim Mcgraw "My Little Girl"

Anne Murray "Could I have this dance for the rest of my life"
It's a great song.

tough little boys- gary allan

Well I never once, backed down from a punch.
Well I'd take it square on the chin.
And I found out fast a bully's just that,
And you've got to stand up to him.
So I didn't cry when I got a black eye,
As bad as it hurt I just grinned.
But when tough little boys grow up to be dads
They turn into BIG babies again.

Scared me to death, when you took your first steps,
Well I'd fall every time you fell down.
Your first day of school, I cried like a fool, and
I followed your school bus to town.

Well I didn't cry when Old Yeller died,
At least not in front of my friends.
But when tough little boys grow up to be dads
They turn into BIG babies again.

Well I'm a grown man but as strong as I am,
Well sometimes it's hard to believe,
How one little girl with little blond curls,
Can totally terrify me.
If you were to ask my wife would just laugh,
She'd say, "I know all about men,
And how tough little boys grow up to be Dads
They turn into BIG babies again."

Well I know one day I'll give you away,
And I'm gonna stand there and smile.
But when I get home and I'm all alone,
Well I'll sit in your room for a while.

Well I didn't cry when Old Yeller died,
At least not in front of my friends.
But when tough little boys grow up to be dads
They turn into BIG babies again.

This was my daddy- daughter dance. It is a beautiful song.

I also agree with 'thdwarf' --" I loved her first " is an awesome song. That would be great for the dance.

"READY, SET, (PLEASE) DON'T GO" It is on the top 40 charts, and is sung by the real father/daughter duo: BILLY RAY, and daughter MILEY CYRUS.

The kid's will know and love it, but be warned that dad may get a little tear in his eye. It is would be GREAT father/daughter dance song~especially since it is sung by a real father daughter pair!!

Have fun, and best of times in your upcoming life together!

P.S. I like the Dixie Chicks, Wide Open Spaces too.

i have the perfect song for you ..".I loved her first"...by Heartland..its about a father telling the groom that he held her first, and loved her first. its a very good father and daughter song...look for it in limewire...its in there..by the way..congrats on getting married!, and good luck

I Loved Her First by Heartland

Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment in each other's face
So much in love you're alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
I'm not gonna stand in your way

I loved her first. I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it's still hard to give her away
I loved her first

How could that beautiful woman with you
Be the same freckle-faced kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

I loved her first. I held her first.
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it's still hard to give her away
I loved her first

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first

Yeah, I agree

Ready Set, don't go. Can't listen to it without getting choked up, and my daughter is only 2

I agree with a lot of these songs.. especially "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw, and "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. But one of my all-time favorites would be "Butterfly Kisses", it makes me bawl.. many artists have sung it, so try looking for someone that's country.

My daughter used "I loved her First", by Heartland. But, I wanted her to use "Tough Little Boys", by Gary Allan. Especially, because her Daddy once WAS a tough little boy. My daughter and I had different views on who the song should be about. She thought it should be about her, I thought it should be about her father. So, think about who you want it to affect more, you or Daddy. AND---Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials and have fun!!!!

Stealing Cinderella!, look it up who sings it..its beautiful
