NO WAY. When I think of Soulja Boy...I think of this little cartoon guy. Soulja Boy is like the New MC Hammer. He has dances and you can market him. Other than that he doesn't have any substance.

His voice is downright awful, and what I've heard of his music is no good. The only reason there's any flow is because he has a steady beat going. The style is have as little originality as possible, except maybe the stupid dance. He's no Tupac at all.

What kind of question is that. Tupac is a genius who personified the frustrations of a generation in his music. Thus living on in many people long after his death. Soulja boy is an individual with no message to get across from this new "Southern hip hop", fad emphasizing catchy, mindless music. I agree with Nas and artists like that in this issue... Hip - Hop is dead. --- especially when people like you compare internet wannabes to hip-hop legends!!!

Are you kidding me?! Tupac was a poet, he was a BLACK PANTHER. He wrote about his struggles, his life experiences. He wrote music to inspire but also to inform. He wanted to let women know he was there for them, signified in the songs "BABY DONT CRY" "KEEP YA HEAD UP" "BRENDAS GOT A BABY" "DEAR MAMA" also wanted to let people know his serious side, that he wanted change in the song "CHANGES" .. Dont get me wrong he wasnt all about the serious stuff, he also wrote music about sex, drugs.. but if you take a look at soulja boys music you will realize he is no where on the level that tupac was on. Soulja boy ain't makin music to inspire, he aint makin music to change, he makin dance beats... and music that is gonna sell tons and tons of records, he ain't writin for the people.
