How can i learn and peform songs that feature more than one guitar?!


Question: My band only has one guitarist (me) and id like to preform songs that feature more than one guitar.whats a way i can like learn it and make it still sound like the same song when i preform it if not that how can i make it sound like the original song.

play the rhythm track on a tape recorder, then practice the leads over it when you press play. if you have some type of drum machine or metronome it will help your timing. it is even better if you have a 4 track or better recorder then you can lay down recorded tracks! hope this helps

you can use a delay that gives a effect of two guitars.
you can buy a whammy pedal that duplicates the notes you play and returns it in a higher or lower ocatave of your choice.its is a red pedal less than 100.00
also, look into loop Station,line 6 makes a nice one it is a green pedal that works good also Roland makes a real nice loop station but its pricey..you can also prerecord stuff on tape and patch it in but that is real tricky.if you live playing is a single beat off from the recording,it wont work. if you dont star the recording in the priceise timeing, everything is off...
