I'd be hard-pressed to choose between Led Zeppelin and Talking Heads. The Jimmy Page/Robert Plant duo was monstrous and they definitely win in terms of sheer talent. The Talking Heads, however, were doing remarkably weird things with music that laid the groundwork for experimental groups of the future.
