Bass guitar? broken!?!
Question: my bass guitar was working okay.
all of a sudden i have to move the input jack around to hear anything come out of my amp?
what's wrong?

You either have a bad guitar cord, or the input jack has become loose.
You can remove the input cover and see if all the wires are still connected properly...this is a minor repair....helps to have a soldering gun if you try to fix this yourself. A music store wouldn't charge much...$10 or less.
But first...try a different cord that you know works.
It's probably your lead, so get a new one first and if thta still doesnt work then go get it looked at.
