Metalheads, what's your take on...?!

Question: Pantera? Love them? Think they are one of the best to come out?

Remember one thing: a lot of the bands you guys like now were influenced by Pantera and other bands. SO, just imagine if Pantera never came around...your favorite band might never had been formed.

Personally, I love Pantera.

Personally, I love Pantera.

I do love Pantera, they were one of the first metal bands I ever listened to and I still love 'em. I also like Damageplan. You're right they have influenced many modern metal and hard rock bands.

Totally agree. i was born in 1990 and my mom raised on metal so of course, I loved Pantera

Pantera is cool. However I've been listening to metal since the late 1980s. I can guarantee that some of my favorite bands were NOT influenced by Pantera, because they were around BEFORE Pantera.

Pantara is deffinetly a great band, but you need to look back a little farther to truely understand where even they came from. black sabbath and led zepplin were truely the founders of metal and rock and roll as we know it today. the sad thing is that since the music industry is flooded with people who have no clue what the difference from a guitar to a flute, everything is sold on image and all the true talent gets kicked out the window cause they don't have the "look".

Pantera kicks @$$, especially the first two albums.

Love it. Phil's way hot!

pantera is a really good band....without dimebag darrell...i think alot of guitarists....MY FAVOIRITE synyster gates from avenged sevenfold, might not have developed into this genre

They have a few good songs

But I wouldn't consider myself a fan...

panera? the restaurant? it's not bad...

I love Pantera!

They not only kicked *** but they lived the fast paced rock god lifestyle. If you didn't love them already just watch their home videos. Along with Phil's hardcore style and the rest of the band, Dimebag took The right hand rhythm guitar power of James Hetfield (at the time) and the solo styles of Rhodes and Van Halen and created a whole new level (no pun intended) of music to be reckoned with.

Well, duh. Where have you been for the last 17 years? I was listening to them since CFH, which came out in 1990.

Before the untimely death of Dime, you poseurs would have never known what a great guitarist he was and will always be!

PAntera is great...but Dimebag wasn't as great as everybody says he was.. yeah he was a great guitarist but not the best. its only blown to that proportion becuase of his tragic death.

I LOVE Pantera dude they're easily one of the best ever,Dime pretty much reinvented guitar playing,if you can name any good metal band today who was'nt influenced by them then they are'nt metal, they were ferocious and had their own style and ways of doing it,there was Sabbath in the 70's,Metallica and Slayer in the 80's (of course Slayer is still killing it) and Pantera in the 90's,there's no doubt that they cemented their place and were on top debuting at #1when they had nothing to back them mainstream wise except their fans and talents, they were true right down to the f*cking core we as fans know that, they really didnt need anything else they were just that good and if you think about it they kept metal alive all those years in the 90's,there would'nt be alot of bands today if it were'nt for them,I totally agree

EDIT:Did some goofball just compare that joke of a player Synyster to Dimebag up there, somebody needs some help dude there's no way,Dime didnt play the same riffs over and over and the solo from Floods... whoa thats all I have to say,he's not even a pimple on Dime's @ss

Love Pantera, love Phil, love Dimebag, Vinnie and the whole crew...enough said!!

First off I gotta say... RIP "Dime Bag"... I was introduced to Pantera in Junior High in the late 90s and I grew up listening to them and still do... Pantera is one of my favorite rock bands ever...

Pantera is one of my favorite bands, yes they were around before i was born, but thanks to my older brother he got me listening to them since i was wicked little and have been listening to them for years......they have definitely influenced so many bands, yet pantera puts a lot of them to shame, pantera should always be known as one of the best, most influential and talented metal bands......

I LIKE LINKIN PARK!!!!!
