I have horrible stage fright but have been singing for 10 years! help me please!!
Question: I have a vocal coach and am in an audition only choir. Ive won many awards and even sang at carnegie hall in NYC with my choir. Whenever i get up to sing, even infront of 3 of my friends, my voice shakes, my heart beats really fast, i stop breathing and it just goes downhill from there. I almost tried hypnosis! HOW DO I WIN?!?!?!

you know its just a matter of treating your audience (no matter how many they are or few) as stones and trees and valleys and whatsoever youll gonna think of them just imagine they are not watching you like non-living things you know it worked for me because the real pressure ins not on you but on the audience and why don't ya practice alone with many plants around or inside your bedroom with mess and clothes hang around then you'll realized my point. it's great
You know the more spontaneous you are when you're on stage the lesser the fright is.

i use to have the same problem.
so i know what your going through right now.
you just let your mind free before you go out on that stage and you sing your heart out like no one is listening
it might sound stupid but i know you can do it you sound like an intelegent person hunn.
whatever you do dont ever give up keep shooting for your dream!!

What helps me is that I just practice and practice until I know it is right. Or I just pretend that the whole crowd is my best friend and who I am comfortable with and I am singing to him/her. Another way is to do well is to practice enough so you can entertain the crowd, which means you have to be a great giver.
