I absolutely love her CD Back to Black. Its definitely refreshing to hear something that's unlike the rest of the top 40. Don't get me wrong, I do do enjoy some of whats playing now but I have a weakness for singer-songwriters. It seems as if they aren't enough of them these days. Also check out her first release Frank. That one has a more jazz tone while Back to Black has a 60s girl group vibe.
If your into Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, The Ronettes, Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitzgerald, you'll enjoy Amy Winehouse.
I Love her cd. I purchased it when it first came out, long before the hype. If you like lauren hill, or joss stones 1st cd you'll love this cd.
I bought Back to Black in April 2007. It is great. Go buy it. Great music and great lyrics. I pray that she gets her life squared away so we can hear more from her.

im not into amy she can sing but i dont like her as a person she annoys me with her demenor and her drug takig makes me sick she thinks its cool to do it and justifies it all the time ,next she will be sleepy bys ,like the rest of them !
I also purchased it when it first came out, and it's one of those CD's that you can listen to every last song. The whole cd is Amy with the exception of the remix of 1 song. Slamming cd with no features proves its a good cd.
I recommended it to everyone.
great cd...normally i dowload stuff but this one is greaaaat so i had to buy it...she released the 2nd edition of back to black with some extra tracks...it is definetelly worth it!!!
Bought the cd the first day it came out back in October, and I think its one of the greatest to be released in 06/early 07. I would definately recommend it, I just think the album wasnt long enough, but she has definately got a very unique style, and all of the tunes are very different to the usual being released these days, very funky, old skool and raw. I suggest u go and buy it. Shes truly a London legend!!!
It is a fabulous cd, very reminiscent of oldies. Her voice is fabulous. You won't be disappointed.
