Question: Why do people say souhern dance songs is not real music? Truthfuly hip-hop wouldnt be as big as it is around he world if it wasnt for dance/snap music. Do people not like it because they make mor money than your favorte rapper?

imma tell u why hip hop would be just a big without the dance snap music because of this people pass on teh south over and over again anyway.
im from the south the dance and snap music aint even that big here dude thats the honest to god truth i live in atlanta where the stuff came from its not thtat serious thats y its not respected u have to understand something when hip hop came out it was about partying having fun but still bringing a message that is not done with snap music although im not mad at souljah boy cause he s a litle kid and on top of that hes a minor so hes just having fun. but these groups like d4l and franchise have acutally had a beef about this snap muzik is and neither of them actually started it it was an underground cat i forget his name at the time i'll get back to u on that but he started snapping before eithre of them had deals or was even underground but my point is people love hip hop for lyrics and poetry not for stupid dances THATS y these guys arent respected in hip hop
EDIT-i dont think u have a lack or kowledge or respect for hip hop u like what u like thats what hip hop is about different taste and styles i know she felt like she was terlling u something but her view about it is her taste/opinion u feel me do u dog and dont worry about what so called ''hip hop heads'' have to say about what u like
I love southern rap music, so crunk! lol, but I think that they are basically hating because the south makes really good music, people want to have fun and dance, why can't they get in on some of the money in the rap industry. Soulja Boy may not have lyrical content but damn his songs are funny to dance too =]
The problem is your lack of knowledge/respect of hip hop. The reason they make the money they do is because of "real" rappers that rapped for years and not getting paid as much as the crappers today. They actually paved the way for them to do what they do. So it's actually disrespectful to say they are mad that they make more money than them. It's because the direction hip hop is going, it's getting more than watered down. They stand for nothing but coonnery and showing they know how to buy new shoes and clothes. Wow.
Rap artists care about having their OWN rap style, being able to play with words and not having a Mary had a little lamb rap style. They contribute nothing special to hip hop. If you make quality music, it NEVER goes out of style.
Soulja Boy and Boyz n Da Hood!! LOLOLOL! Sorry to disappoint, they don't even matter in hip hop. They are one in the same.
