Do you think Freddie Mercury had the best rock voice of all time?!
Question: definitely yes, the greatest of all time! But I've seen pics of both his father and mother, and from what I can see -------- it looks like if it weren't for Freddie's father, he wouldn't have that strong jawline and bone structure --- one of the many things we females adore about him. If you look at his mom she has kind of weak jawline and her features are not as distinguished and refine as Freddies. He does have his mom's lips and eyes though. And as for his coloring, I would say he had to have gotten it from both parents. But yeah, if Freddie's mom had married someone else beside Freddie's dad, I dont think Freddie would have gotten those fabulous features. It had to be the combination of both parents to make it happen to create him, without him really looking THAT much like either parent. And what a beautiful creature he was!!! :)

Yes, for someone who had no vocal training, he was phenomenal!...as far as his looks...he was an odd sort and could've benefited from braces...

Probably.And he was great not only for the voice. He was all the brains in the band. Lyrics, music...he directed the videos and the concerts war all his big masterpiece . I say he was the best in all of them at the same time.

Freddie had a great voice and a great stage presence. Not sure if it would be considered the best...I guess that would depend on your definition of rock and your definition of best...but I do agree, he was if NOT the best, then definitely in the top three! Honestly, I don't really consider Queen to be 'rock' I would consider them more "Bohemian Rock!" I also think Steve Perry from Journey...whom I would consider more of a rock band...had a voice that ranked right up there with Freddie.
Can't answer the second part of your question, as I have no idea what either of his parents looked like. But he definitely had a look about him, didn't he?
I think he was one of the most talented, but i do not think he had the best "rock" voice of all time. Wish we still had him with us.
he had one of the greatest voices, but when you refer to rock voices you tend to think of singers like Rob Halford, Geoff Tate, Ronnie James Dio..............

I dont think there is a best rock voice of alltime..There have been so many talented singers(past to the present).We love them for the songs that only they made special...

I think Freddie is the best!....period! To limit him to rock just doesn't feel right to me, though. Sure, there's "Stone Cold Crazy", "Sheer Heart Attack", Dragon Attack", "Gimme The Prize", etc...those are all great rock songs and nobody could have sung them better than Freddie. That doesn't even mention his little rock medley he liked to throw around at concerts. Freddie...and Queen were so much more than rock. They could play any type of music and Freddie could sing any type of song. Freddie was truely one of the greatest voices of all time and especially one of the greatest rock voices of all time. I just love him!

To me, everything that Queen did was a joke. I wouldn't have liked their music particularly is someone besides Freddie Mercury would have sung it, but his voice just added another level of ridiculousness to it. I like Elvis Costello.
