You generally won't find any amps, but Mizz SJG gave you the best case scenario, there is usually a drum kit (in one state of disrepair or another) and a house PA with a sound board somewhere on the premises. If the bar has a PA, you can assume that they have the mics, too, but they could be in the same state as the drum kit. Often, some places have the link to play the bass through the PA as well, eliminating the need for the bassist to lug an amp along. Everyone has been correct in that you should let your fingers do the walking and find out what there is to offer in each establishment before set-up night.
Some have a house drum set and PA system, call ahead...some don't.
yes 'some' do, others don't....if they do most likely its been beaten and is not in the best condition (unless they are a big establishment that specialize in live entertainment). Best to call the bar you're gonna play, and ask them specifically.
