Well for me (not to sound boastful) I had a really good voice but when I started taking voice it improved greatly and i have more control and i am more comfortable singing
my friend sara cant sing but with one lesson she discovered she has a voice, she just doesnt know how to use it
bottom line- singing lessons are amazing and for all people. If you can sing, you can learn to sing better. It you can't sing, you can learn to sing. the only time it doesnt work is if you are tone death (which means if i hit a key on the piano you cannot sing the note back to me)
so if you are not tone death than you can learn to sing through voice lessons (and i think thats the only safe way to do it so you dont get hurt)
You either got it or you dont. If you need help with your notes then yeah, or tones, w.e . but i know u either got it or u dont.

Not usually... In my experience, the best way to improve your singing is to sing.
I have been a full-time musician for 40 years. My playing and singing was the best when I was playing 6 or 7 nights a week.

i am in my high school choir i used to sing bad but then i am like the best in my class singing lesson are for both if you are good then you improve you skills more and if your bad it helps change your voice i have seen it happen if you sing bad singing lessons well help you get great and if you sing great it will only get better good luck
Singing lessons are to hone the skills you have and help you with using your diaphram, pitch, harmony and enunciation. You can not make a horrible voice good. Even with the proper training a horrible voice will be horrible.
Well, it can be for both I suppose. There are some people who just CANNOT sing, no matter how they try. (Unfortunatly, I happen to be aquainted with a lot of these people...)
For people who are just born with natural talent, they can take singing lessons if they choose to or not. They'll certainly be able to practice more and expand their views on singing if they decide on a yes.
both. i go to vocal lessons to improve my voice. they are really to help you read music and help you hit the notes on songs. but if you chose to take a class make sure the teacher is some one you really get along with that willhelp you alot.
You know, singing is a personal thing and just becuase you don't have a gifted voice doesn't mean you can't improve on it. I don't agree with the contention of "you have it or you don't". Singing is something you practice, and with practice you improve.
If you are good, you can always improve, and a critical ear might notice some things you can do better. Even pros have voice coaches for this reason. If you just have singing as a hobby and want to get better, absolutely, get a voice coach.
