I enjoy it smuch when you choose some of your favourites, because they always bring back happy memmories.
I was a big Ricky Nelson fan just like many of his contemporaries.
Elvis was a big inspiration for Ricky, he sang with the Jordinaires, but even more of an inspiation was Carl Perkins, who not many people know, sold more records of his song 'Blue suede shoes' than Elvis did.
Although Ricky prefered rock & roll, his voice made balad singing more favourable.

He died in a plane crash in 1985, his last song was 'Rave on' sung by Buddy Holly who suffered the same fate
