If Old Skool rapper's were making hits like they used to today, how would th!

Question: If all the classic albums of old school were released this year, it would not change anything that was played on the radio. Soulja Boy would still have the biggest hip hop song on the radio. Old School rap is f'n awesome, but doesn't appeal to the masses and wouldn't change much of today's rap. There are a lot of rappers today that still have an old school vibe, but that isn't what sells today. Look at Wu-Tang(maybe not as old school as you would like, but makes a great example). 1993, 36 Chambers was the hottest thing around. Ghostface and Raekwon, who I personally think where the best lyricsist from the group, have released several GREAT albums in recent years. Yet, me being in the midwest, have trouble even finding their cds in stores in my city. If Old School released their classics today, you would still hear crap on the radio. But then again, at least I would find something I like in the New Releases section

THE HIP HOP INDUSTRY WOULD BE MORE RESPECTED.

EVEN SOME RICH KIDS THINK THE MAINSTREAM INDUSTRY IS WORST THAN IT EVER HAS BEEN.

The "rappers" today would have to quit their jobs and go get a real job. Old school rap is the ****. What we have now is crap.

Oh my god, bigthing. How can you say that the hip hop industry "uplifts" ones mind? How high is your IQ? Perhaps your brain cells have been damaged by all the crap you listen to.

Today's rap, has already "redone" many Old Skool songs. (You Can't Touch This !)

in what way? musically it would sound s*** because the beats they got these days with samplers are top notch (9th wonder, marco polo, visionaries, dj babu etc, ok even kanye) Lyrically yeah it would be better, depending what old skool rappers you mean. I think real lyricsim should be brought back lik lord finesse, early wu tang and biggie and of course BIG L>

hip-hop(radio play artists) would not be about like soulja boy tell 'em, 50cent,g-unit e.t.c. because 2-pac, b.i.g(biggie) then half these whack, cats
